Mont Ventoux rears up out of the French landscape to a height of 1912m. It is striking and instantly recognizable, with forests on the lower slopes giving way to a bald, limestone peak. This gruelling triple ascent involves more climbing per distance cycled that any existing sportif event – more than 5km over the 120km ride.
