Join us for a week of cycling to remember in the Dolomites, based in the famous Cortina d'Ampezzo: 600km over 6 days of riding, with 14,000m of climbing and 21 mountain passes...
Cortina is known as the Queen of the Dolomites. Home of the 1956 Winter Olympics, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Surrounded by mountains and forests, it is a cyclist’s paradise, with a choice of well-surfaced road passes to choose from daily, great Italian food and a stylish Italian hotel in the heart of this beautiful town. 18th century buildings, small cafes, luxury shops and a mountain backdrop around every corner – this is truly a great location to spend a week indulging your cycling passion!
But don’t just take our word for it – the following are some excerpts from a club write-up done after our Dolomites trip:
In late June, three of our club embarked on a once in a lifetime trip to the Italian Dolomites with Stuart Hall Cycling for a week of pleasure and pain amidst the most breath-taking landscape anywhere in Europe. […]
Day 3 the day I’d been waiting for – the Sella Ronda. Six climbs and some of the most gorgeous scenery in Europe. It started with the ubiquitous Falzarego, followed by the Passo Pordoi – a long and beautiful climb to a high col surrounded by ski lifts and cable cars. But these were just the appetizers. After a bit of lunch and lots of espresso, the Passo Sella and Passo Gardena were beyond beautiful and having the roads pretty much to ourselves made it all the more memorable. You sometimes just have to stop and drink it all in, and take photos of course. These moments are what the memories are made of – I could have stayed here all week and just stared. […]
So, how do I summarise our week in the Dolomites? Well, it was a week that I will never forget and I’m sure my friends will agree. The company was great and the spectacle was everything we could have imagined, if not more. I, for one, have vowed that I will return there one day. If any of you are inspired to follow in our footsteps, do so without hesitation. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
Further customer feedback can be found on our Testimonials page. To get an idea of the scenery and terrain throughout the week, please also see the photos from our 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 trips.
Price: £1525 based on twin occupancy; £1945 single occupancy (subject to availability).
Full carbon hire bikes are also available for just £180 for the week if you prefer not to fly with your bike. All our hire bikes come with disc brakes, Shimano 105 12-speed groupsets, 34/50 compact chainsets and 12/34 cassettes.
We offer a guided ride each day, taking in the famous local climbs. Our itinerary covers roughly 600km over the six days of cycling with 21 mountain passes and 14,000m of climbing. As always in the mountains, we always judge the rides based on the group and the weather conditions and modify them accordingly – harder and easier options are possible!
We arrange transfers from Venice Marco Polo airport to the hotel in Cortina and back, with pick-up times and departure times scheduled to fit in with customer arrivals and departures.
Flights arriving mid-to-late morning are ideal – please check with us if you want to book a flight arriving at any other time before booking it to ensure we can organise a transfer for you. Mid-afternoon arrivals may be possible, but there is a risk you’ll miss the main meal on the first evening.
For the return please do not book flights departing before 11:30am as it is a good 2-hour drive to the airport so we cannot guarantee getting you there any earlier. If in doubt, please check with us before booking your flights!
It may also be possible to collect you from a nearby train station or Venice Treviso airport – please check if this is your best option.
