Cycle through some of the most stunning scenery in the UK over three days of steady riding, through the Lake District, North York Moors and North Pennines.
There are few parts of the UK more spectacular than the majestic Lake District and the beautiful North York Moors. Our Coast to Coast ride crosses both of these national parks, as well as the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
So we can guarantee the scenery will be a feast for the eyes, and some of the hills will give your legs a good workout too!
This is a steady-paced ride over three days, between Whitehaven on the west coast of England, finishing at Whitby on the east coast, covering a total distance of 175 miles.
The price if sharing a twin is £495 per person; the single supplement is £30 per night.
Lunches and alcoholic drinks are not included in the price. Accommodation in Shap on the final night is also available for an additional charge (please enquire for details).
This is a fully supported ride with both a support cyclist and support vehicle. The pace will be steady, stopping for a pub or cafe lunch, with the focus on enjoying the scenery, taking the time to enjoy the views and take photos. We aim to get on the road around 9am in the morning, but then spend most of the day on the ride. Our support vehicle will be leapfrogging the riders and at all times our driver will only be a phone call away.
The route is all on roads or cycle paths and predominantly follows the Sustrans cycle network. The majority of roads are relatively quiet. The overall course totals approximately 175 miles with about 3,000m of climbing.
We can meet you at the train station in Shap or Penrith on the 24th August or you can leave your car in Shap for the duration of the trip. We will then return everyone to Shap or Penrith on the afternoon of the 27th. You can then head home or stay for a final night and meal in Shap on the evening of the 27th and head home on the 28th.
