Sportives continental style are something special – the mass starts, breath-taking scenery, the famous climbs and jaw-dropping descents, the fantastic ambiance, the climate, the wonderful food and wine, the inherent love of the sport of cycling… My first European sportive was the Marmotte in 1988, and I’ve been hooked ever since. With over two decades of experience, I know how important the little things are that make the event a weekend to remember: the family-run hotel near the finish, the perfect place to enjoy a post-race beer in the sun, the best restaurants for preparing pre-race and celebrating afterwards, … Add to this detailed knowledge of most routes in Europe and whether you’re new or old to the European sportive scene, I’m sure you’ll find you get something extra on our trips.
